Question 1

What is the Time Warp Scan?

Accepted Answer

The Time Warp Scan is a video effect made popular on TikTok. A line sweeps across the camera and freezes everything it passes, so you can move during the scan to stretch, duplicate and distort yourself.

Question 2

Can I do the Time Warp Scan without TikTok or an app?

Accepted Answer

Yes. TimeWarpScan.me runs entirely in your web browser. Allow camera access, press Scan, and download the result as a PNG or a video file.

Question 3

Are my photos or videos uploaded anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. All processing happens on your device using TensorFlow.js and WebGL. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

Question 4

Which browsers work?

Accepted Answer

Recent versions of Chrome, Edge and Safari on desktop work best. You need a webcam and must allow camera access.
